Accidental Damage Cover – Computers
If your device(s) suffers accidental damage during the period of insurance, the insurer will indemnify you, up to the sum insured, for either the costs of parts and labour to repair it, or they will replace the device(s) with a device of the equivalent general specification.

Accidental damage means any damage, including fire and water damage, caused to the device (computer) which was not deliberately caused by you.

Smart Phone Insurance – Mobile Phones
If your device(s) suffers - Theft, Loss and Accidental Damage Cover. You are covered against the repair or replacement cost of Your Telephone if it is stolen, lost or accidentally damaged whilst in Your possession during the Period of Insurance. The insurer will indemnify you, up to the sum insured, for either the costs of parts and labour to repair it, or they will replace the device(s) with a device of the equivalent general specification.

Limit of liability - The liability of the Insurer in respect of any one claim will be the replacement cost of the mobile phone and in any event shall not exceed a total claim cost equivalent to the value of the mobile phone. Subject to no more than two valid claims per year.

For claims you should in the first instance you should  notify the claim administrators on 0345 0744828 or by emailing deviceclaims@directgroup.co.uk. as soon as possible but ideally within 48 hours of the discovery of any incident likely to give rise to a claim under this insurance. If the incident happened outside of the UK, please notify the claim administrators within 48 hours of your return to the UK;Â
