What is a salary saving programme?
An agreement to reduce your gross entitlement to cash pay in exchange for a non-cash benefit — in this case over 12 months, for a holiday package (travel and accommodation). You save by NOT paying National Insurance and by not using credit arrangements or Credit Cards.
Eligibility Criteria
The Holiday programme is available to permanent employees
Eligible employees are permanent employees and employees on a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months prior to being able to enter this benefit and you intend to remain with your Employer for the full length of the benefit period
You are eligible for a salary sacrifice benefit if you meet all the criteria below:
- You are paid by the Employer through the Employer PAYE payroll
- You are a substantive employee with a minimum of 12 months service, and you intend to remain with your Employer for the full length of the benefit period
- You are at least 18 years old
- You are paid above National Minimum/Living Wage after you have sacrificed your salary
• Booking a holiday through this programme means you will have your salary reduced over 12 equal instalments
